You’ve heard of rolling out the red carpet, but what about a pink one? Pink is Clara’s favorite color, and bringing a warm pink rug into a house that otherwise has lots of cool blues, greens, and grays felt like the perfect balance. The rug’s warm tone and playful dotted pattern pair wonderfully with Clara’s big-girl bedding, creating an energetic, joyful corner of the home. In person the colors are even more cheerful—it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to drop everything and come see it right away.

When the delivery finally arrived, the excitement returned. Before the rug was even unrolled in the room, it brightened the hallway and made the package feel like a present. Once Clara was napping and we could lay the rug in the big-girl room/playroom, the space immediately felt more playful and layered.
