Our Shop Is Closing: A Thank You and a Farewell

It’s so hard to say goodbye, but as Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton famously put it: something’s gotta give. After two wonderful years of creating t-shirts and prints and connecting with so many of you, we’ve decided to close our little shop. This was not an easy choice, but it’s one made with a clear head and a thankful heart.

Running a small shop alongside parenthood, home improvement projects, and the day-to-day of blogging has become increasingly difficult. We’ve relied on two trusted local print shops to produce our designs, and we’ve handled everything else ourselves — designing, inventory, packaging, shipping, and customer service. While we could have outsourced more of those tasks, taking that step felt like adding another layer of coordination and oversight to our already-full plates. We enjoy doing the work ourselves, but we also need to simplify so we can focus on the parts of this project that matter most: sharing home makeovers, before-and-afters, and the content you come here for.

Closing our shop will free up time and energy so we can concentrate on writing, tackling more projects, and creating the DIY and design content you expect from us. It also means fewer trips to the post office, fewer late-night packing sessions, and more time spent on the creative side of things. We’re excited about that opportunity, even while we feel a little bittersweet about saying goodbye to a labor of love.

We’ve assigned inventory numbers to the remaining items in the shop — about 30 pieces are left — and once those are gone, we’ll be officially sold out. If you’ve had your eye on one of our prints, tees, or posters, this is the final chance to pick it up. This close-out is permanent, and while we’ll miss the merchandise side of this journey, we’re looking forward to what streamlining will allow us to create next.

Of course, this announcement comes with a lot of gratitude. We want to express our deepest thanks to every person who supported the shop by purchasing a t-shirt, hanging a print on a wall, or even sharing our designs with a friend. Knowing our work became a small part of your homes and daily life has been an enormous compliment. We are so honored that our designs found a place in your spaces and on your backs.

To everyone who bought something, sent kind notes, or cheered us on: we owe a huge heartfelt thank you. Your support helped transform a simple idea into a real, tangible thing that we could hold, pack, and send out into the world. That experience — the whole process of designing, printing, and delivering — taught us a lot and brought a lot of joy.

We’ll still be here, doing what we do best: sharing renovations, creative projects, giveaways, and the occasional house crashing. Closing the shop doesn’t mean stepping away from this community. Instead, it means refocusing our efforts so we can deliver more consistent, high-quality content, more room tours, and more practical how-tos for home lovers and DIY enthusiasts.

Thank you again for supporting our little venture. We’re saying goodbye to the shop, but not to you. Keep an eye out for new posts, fresh projects, and more of the home inspiration you love. Your encouragement matters — now and always.
