I also spotted a couple of lovely chairs in other colors: the Hogsten and a yellow Storsele. The Hogsten had a refined vibe and the yellow Storsele felt cheerful and bold—perfect for a bright sunroom. I could picture two of those yellow chairs lined up in my own space, adding instant personality.
The Vittsjo shelving units were on display as well—the smaller version and the larger one. These pieces are popular for DIY makeovers; they take paint and spray finishes very well. I’ve seen them transformed into gold, white, and teal statement pieces, and they always look great.
A Stockholm sofa table caught my eye, too. It’s mid-century-inspired with graceful legs and a compact profile, which makes it a versatile piece for an entryway or behind a sofa.
New colored Malm dressers were on the floor, available in a small and a large size. The teal finish was subtly muted—more smoky than neon—and would work nicely in a room that wants color without being overpowering.
There were also Slatthult sticker decals that would add a sweet floral accent in the right setting—imagine them against very pale pink walls with white furniture and soft bedding for a delicate, feminine touch.
I tried to check online for product pages while browsing, but not everything is easy to find. If you love something in-store, it’s worth checking Ikea’s site or asking staff for details at checkout. There was a charming table I liked whose name escaped me, but the price was reasonable.
One small staged pantry stood out because I’m obsessed with pantries. They’d added shelving from a modular series and organized it into a tidy, functional space. Little organizing touches like that make a big difference.
We paused to watch a cabinet-drawer durability demonstration—an oddly hypnotic moment as drawers opened and closed smoothly. My daughter Clara was completely captivated by the mechanism.

A map-themed pillow added a playful, slightly nautical vibe that would suit a navy den with wood tones and a cozy fireplace. It felt cozy and adventurous at once—maybe a niche decor style: cozy-pirate?
The fabric selection was tempting, as always. Two prints stood out: one with an abstract ikat-like pattern in soft hues that matched some of the pillow covers, and another with a stylized floral illustration that felt fresh and modern. And those curtains—yes, I photograph them every visit. They’re timeless and always look good.
There was a playful kids’ light that you could fill with small toys or craft supplies, which seemed perfect for a playroom or a craft corner. A simple poster caught my eye too; it coordinated nicely with the textiles I’d picked up and might make a cute finishing touch in a child’s room.
Also appealing was a small potting and storage bench with colorful planters displayed on top—practical and pretty for a porch or mudroom. In the As-Is section we found a nearly new item at a discount, already assembled, which is a major convenience if you can transport it.
